There are as many methods to rear a Ariege Pointer puppy as there are to rearing a kid. In truth, one way per household at minimum! However most of us agree that when it comes to children, many things are universal and undeniable. Here are three things that a great deal of people just do not remember when it concerns raising their Ariege Pointers, however. How many times have I heard, “My Ariege Pointer simply will not listen to me”, or “He just will not behave!”

Ariege Pointers do not understand English till we teach them.

The main thing we all love about Ariege Pointer puppies the most is the way they live for us, the fact that they focus all they have on us, the way our lives become theirs. In the beginning, they study us to discover our body movement, our expressions and our language. Until we teach them the English language, it’s all they have. If we say, “Wanna head out?” one day, “Need to go potty?” the next day, and, “Hafta pee?” the third day, if they DO determine what we want, it is because we have actually picked up the leash and approached the door with a delighted face! If you wish to accelerate his training by three-fold, teach him YOUR language. Choose a command for EACH action and persevere. Teach all in your family to utilize the exact same words and commands, and your Ariege Pointer puppy will surprise you at how much quicker he figures it out.

A young Ariege Pointer puppy’s metabolic process is racing along faster than we believe.

The more youthful your Ariege Pointer is, the quicker he is growing, the more food and water he requires to fuel his metabolic process, and the more regularly he has to go potty. Do not penalize your puppy when he makes a house-breaking mistake. These are YOUR fault. The age of your Ariege Pointer in weeks and his size determine how often he should head out. Once an hour is not too much for a large 6-week old puppy, especially if it is summer season. Ariege Pointers love the amazing smells outdoors, so there is no reason to not have him housebroken by 7-8 weeks of age. Right after a nap, after he eats and after grooming are the key times, and he will alert you. If he is happily chewing a toy and gets up unexpectedly with his nose to the floor, move quickly! And whenever he goes potty outside, applaud him to high paradise! “What an excellent PUPPY!”, “EXCELLENT go potty!” and so on. Ariege Pointers enjoy our pleased faces, and they will do anything to get it.

Ariege Pointers live for our expressions and body language.

Considering this, the worst penalty you ever need to provide your Ariege Pointer is a grimace and to turn away from him. You can see his tail drop and his face get so miserable. He will understand the lesson, I guarantee it. However his attention span is just 3-5 minutes, so do not spurn him any further. Love him up and give him your delighted face again. Physical penalty is never ever needed. Use consistent commands and loving praise and he will know what you want of him prior to you know. He will become a master of your body movement and facial expressions in no time at all.

Naturally there are lots of elements of training your Ariege Pointer puppy well. Caring compassion works just as well for Ariege Pointer puppies as it does with children, producing a delighted, well-adjusted and obedient dog for life. These 3 crucial tips, utilized consistently with confidence, will start him well on his way.
