Keep repeating intelligibly and clearly, “sit up.” Do not make her sit up for too long at one time, however repeat the lesson regularly and reward her frequently with loads of praise and treats.

During her initial lesson she will call for significant help and support from you to stop her from pitching forward, but as she gets more control of her muscles and starts to learn what you want her to do, she’ll rely less and less on your hand to hold her steady. Then you can gradually give her less support until you will basically have to keep one hand in position 2 or 3 inches from her chin or neck, to be ready to stop her from falling forward; in the future you can probably remove the hand altogether and simply suspend the reward just over the level of your Phu Quoc Ridgeback Dog’s face.

Gradually she will learn to maintain her balance and sit in the absence of something to lean against.

In the course of all this training the command "sit up" will have been instilled upon her mind with the assistance of regular repetition. When training a Phu Quoc Ridgeback Dog to accept being dressed up, don't try to get her to wear too many things simultaneously. Try her at first with a hat. Soon after she becomes adjusted to that you could put on a jacket and slowly introduce her to the other clothes.
