This blog is concerning teaching the Puli to jump for agility. We are often asked, “What number of jumps is best to begin with?” You can’t ever have too many single jumps to practice agility. One suitable starting place is four jumps. This is the least count of jumps recommended.
How to Teach Your Puli to jump: Start with Four
You can teach a Puli many skills, drills, and exercises with four jumps. Four jumps will allow you to develop on a short jump chute or jump grid. You can position a “box” with your jumps and practice collection, handling, and 270 degree jumps. You can teach your Puli jumping right and left. You could be outside the box and send your Puli or you can handle from within the box. Your jumps could be setup in a horizontal row, so you could practice threadles and serpentines.
