This post is about how to teach the French Bulldog jumping for agility. We are often asked, “How many jumps should I start with?” You can’t ever have too many solo jumps to practice agility. A good starting point is 4 jumps. This is the minimum quantity of jumps suggested.
Teaching a French Bulldog jumping: Start with Four
You can teach your French Bulldog a variety of exercises, skills, and drills with 4 jumps. 4 jumps will let you work on a short jump chute or jump grid. You can setup a “box” with your jumps and practice handling, collection, and 270 degree jumps. You can teach your French Bulldog jumping right and left. You can be out of the box and send your French Bulldog or you can handle from within the box. Your jumps could be setup in a horizontal line, so you can practice serpentines and threadles.
