To teach your Bully Kutta tricks, even simple ones, you need to provide some of his favorite snacks, go to a secluded suitable place and hold the instruction sessions to ten to fifteen minutes or the Bully Kutta will begin to get tired. Keep in mind when he gets something right give him lots of praise and a reward treat, though be mindful not to get him over excited or he will lose concentration.
Teach your Bully Kutta to offer you his paw
To teach your Bully Kutta to offer you his paw, initially get him to sit, then as you say the word ‘paw’ take his paw in your hand and give him a snack. And then do it again, and after a couple of practices don’t take his paw so quickly. State the word ‘paw’, count to one and only then take it. You need to see that he is raising his paw up as you state the word. If he doesn’t then return to stating it at the same time. Do it a couple more times then slow your reaction once again. After just a few sessions most Bully Kuttas pick this trick up quite quickly.
Teach your Bully Kutta to give you a high 5
Like a great deal of tricks the high five is a continuation of a more basic trick, and in this case it’s the paw trick. Place a snack in your fingers and raise your hand a little bit higher than you’d raise it for the paw trick. Your Bully Kutta will think you wish to do the paw trick and will grab the treat with his paw as we taught him earlier. While he rises you say “high five” and offer your Bully Kutta the treat. When your Bully Kutta has mastered the paw trick this 1 should be really easy to learn and with only a few sessions he will be performing it from your hand signal rather than your voice.
Teach your Bully Kutta to leap through a hoop
Before you begin this one I would simply like to ask you to be a little reasonable and not suspend the hoop higher than necessary as you don’t want your Bully Kutta to injure himself while doing the trick. Place your Bully Kutta to 1 side of a hula hoop, get him to focus on your hand on the opposite side of the hoop. Hold a snack in your hand and give the Bully Kutta the direction to stop sitting. In the beginning he may attempt to go around or below the hula hoop. In the event that this takes place start once again. Your Bully Kutta wants the snack and will quickly learn that walking around or beneath doesn’t work so he will soon start going through it. As soon as he does, state “hoop” and offer him the snack. He will quickly be leaping through the hoop upon the command of “hoop”. When I first started doing this trick I had a medium sized dog, so I began with the hoop 6 inches from the floor and slowly lifted it to waist high. If you have a smaller sized dog you might want to start with the hoop on the ground so he simply goes through the hoop and then gradually raise it more once he gets used to the trick.
I expect you have enjoyed these 3 tricks you can teach your Bully Kutta. Have patience with your Bully Kutta and above all, have a good time!
