Check with the library or online to find out more about Schipperkes to learn if another breed may be more appropriate for the family.

Raising the Schipperke is a big committment and can be expensive. Family members has to realize that they will have to forego current activities to spend time with the Schipperke. If this idea turns out to be too much of a committment, you might suggest waiting until the child is committed enough to help raise the Schipperke.
