To teach your Hare Indian Dog tricks, even the easy ones, you need to provide some good treats, take him to a secluded suitable place and always keep the teaching sessions to under fifteen minutes or the Hare Indian Dog will begin to get bored. Keep in mind when he gets something correct give him great deals of praise and a reward snack, just be careful not to get him extremely excited or he will lose concentration.
Teach your Hare Indian Dog to offer you his paw
To get your Hare Indian Dog to offer you his paw, initially get him to sit, then as you state the word ‘paw’ take his paw in your hand and give him a treat. Then do this again, and after a few times don’t take his paw so quickly. State the word ‘paw’, count to one and after that take it. You need to see that he is bringing his paw up as you state the word. If he does not then go back to saying it at the same time. Do it a few more times then slow your reaction once again. After 2 or 3 sessions most Hare Indian Dogs pick this trick up quite easily.
Teach your Hare Indian Dog to offer you a high 5
Like a great deal of tricks the high 5 is a continuation of an easier trick, in this case the paw trick. Hold a treat in your two fingers and lift your hand slightly higher than you would for the paw trick. Your Hare Indian Dog will assume you wish to do the paw trick and will grab for the treat with his paw as we instructed him in the prior trick. Once he reaches up you state “high five” and give him the treat. When your Hare Indian Dog has actually mastered the paw trick this 1 will probably be very simple to learn and with just a couple of sessions he will be doing it on hand signal instead of voice control.
Teach your Hare Indian Dog to jump through a hoop
Before you start this one I would simply like to ask you to be a little reasonable and not hold the hoop too high up as you do not want your Hare Indian Dog to harm himself while performing the trick. Set your Hare Indian Dog to 1 side of a hula hoop, get him to take note of your hand on the other side of the hoop. Hold a treat in your hand and offer the Hare Indian Dog the command to stop sitting. Initially he may attempt to go around or underneath the hula hoop. If this takes place start once again. Your Hare Indian Dog wants the treat and will soon discover that walking around or underneath does not get it so he’ll soon start going through it. The minute he does, state “hoop” and offer him the treat. He’ll soon be jumping through the hoop on the command of “hoop”. When I first began doing this trick I owned a medium sized dog, so I began with the hoop 6 inches from the ground and gradually raised it to waist height. On the occasion that you have a smaller sized dog you might desire to start with the hoop touching the ground so he just goes through the hoop and then gradually raise it as he gets used to the trick.
