To teach your Bakharwal Dog tricks, even easy ones, you should have some savory snacks, be in a quiet suitable location and always keep the learning sessions to under fifteen minutes or your Bakharwal Dog will start to get bored. Just remember when he gets something right give him great deals of praise and a reward treat, though take care not to get him excessively thrilled or he may perhaps lose focus.
Teach your Bakharwal Dog to offer you his paw
To teach your Bakharwal Dog to give you his paw, first get him to sit, then as you state the word ‘paw’ take his paw in your hand and give him a snack. Next do it again, and after a few tries do not take his paw so fast. State the word ‘paw’, count to one and then take it. You must observe that he is raising his paw up as you say the word. If he doesn’t then go back to saying it at the very same time. Do it a few more times then slow your reaction again. After a couple of sessions most Bakharwal Dogs pick this trick up rather easily.
Teach your Bakharwal Dog to give you a high five
Like a great deal of tricks the high five is a continuation of an earlier trick, and in this case the paw trick. Hold a treat in between your fingers and raise your hand just a little higher than you would for the paw trick. Your Bakharwal Dog will presume you desire to do the paw trick and will grab for the snack with his paw as we instructed him in the previous trick. As he rises you state “high 5” and give him the treat. As soon as your Bakharwal Dog has mastered the paw trick this 1 will most likely be really easy to master and with only a couple of sessions he will be performing it from your hand signal rather than your voice.
Teach your Bakharwal Dog to leap through a hoop
Before you begin this one I would just like to ask you to be a little reasonable and not suspend the hoop too high as you don’t want your Bakharwal Dog to harm himself while doing the trick. Place your Bakharwal Dog on one side of a hula hoop, get him to take note of your hand on the opposite side of the hoop. Place a snack in your hand and give the Bakharwal Dog the direction to stop sitting. In the beginning he may attempt to go around or underneath the hoop. When this happens start again. Your Bakharwal Dog wants the treat and will quickly find out that going around or below doesn’t get it so he will quickly begin going through it. The minute he does, say “hoop” and give him the snack. He will quickly be jumping through the hoop upon the command of “hoop”. When I began teaching this trick I owned a medium sized dog, so I started with the hoop 6 inches from the ground and slowly brought it to waist height. If you possess a smaller dog you might want to begin with the hoop on the floor so he simply goes through the hoop and after that slowly raise it more as he gets accustomed to the trick.
I know you have enjoyed these 3 tricks you can teach your Bakharwal Dog. Have patience with your Bakharwal Dog and most importantly, have fun!
