Hold a treat in your fingers and raise your hand somewhat higher than you would raise it for the paw trick. Your Alaskan Malamute will believe you want to do the paw trick and will grab for the treat with his paw as we instructed him earlier. While he rises you state “high 5” and offer him the treat.
