Are you working to teach your Mucuchies to sit? The skill of sitting up is easily taught to little dogs, however much larger pet dogs are another story. It is problematic for them to maintain their balance.
Teach Your Mucuchies to Sit: Readiness
Sitting up is one of the most basic techniques that should be taught to your Mucuchies and provides the groundwork for countless other tricks. To train a Mucuchies to sit up, put together some snacks as a reward, and put your Mucuchies on her backside in a corner, to ensure that she is unable to fall either aft or sideways and has very little or no room to lose balance.
Teach Your Mucuchies to Sit: Acquaint Her With The Sound of The Words
Prevent her from pitching forward by holding 1 hand under her chin and with your other hand hold the reward above your Mucuchies’s face. Keep saying distinctly and deliberately, “sit.” Do not force her to sit for too long at one time, however repeat the training often and reward her frequently with lots of recognition and snacks.
Teach Your Mucuchies to Sit: Help Her Maintain Balance
In her initial lesson she will demand a lot of assistance from your hand to keep her from falling forward, but as she gains control of the stabilizing muscles and recognizes what you want, she will depend less and less upon your hand to hold her in position. Then you can gradually give your Mucuchies less help til you’ll simply have to maintain one hand in position two or three inches from her neck or chin, to be ready to stop her from falling forward; in the future you can probably take away the hand altogether and simply dangle the treat right over the level of your Mucuchies’s face.
Teach Your Mucuchies To Sit: Remove the Assistance Progressively
With steady practice your Mucuchies will stay seated for a good while after you tell her to. The next step is she should be set up against a wall, so as to offer her support for her back. Once she has figured out this and can hold her place effortlessly, rehearse with her using chair legs, pillows or other things that offer her less and less aid. Eventually she will get the hang of how to keep her stability and sit without relying on something to rest against.
Teach Your Mucuchies to Sit: Putting It All Together
In the course of all these lessons the words "sit up" will have been impressed upon her mind by persistent repetition. Last is the final lesson to teach your Mucuchies to sit up as soon as she hears the words. Chances are, if she has been diligently trained, you will simply have to summon her out in the room, display to her a treat, hold it up a suitable distance from the ground, say "sit up or sit" and she'll do so. Then give her the reward while still in place.
The only requirement for perfection is to train with your Mucuchies several times daily until she sits on command and without being shown a treat; give her the rewards only after she has complied with the command.
Teach Your Mucuchies Other Tricks
You have now the technique for teaching your Mucuchies many other skills. She now can be taught to beg by waving your hand up and down just in front of her paws, which she will move in sync with yours. She can also learn to salute by bringing one paw to the side of her head, or to hold something in her mouth, or to wear a hat on her head or wear other clothing.
In teaching a Mucuchies to accept being dressed up, don't try to make her wear too many clothes at the same time. Try at first with just a cap. Only after she becomes accustomed to that you could put on a coat and progressively introduce her to the other garments.
