There are without a doubt as many methods to rear a Posavac Hound puppy as there are to caring for a child. In fact, one method per household at minimum! But the majority of us concur that when it comes to children, a few things are universal and undisputed. Here are three things that a lot of people just do not consider when it comes to raising their Posavac Hounds, however. I can’t count how many times have we heard, “My Posavac Hound simply won’t listen to me”, or “He simply won’t behave!”
Posavac Hounds do not understand English up until we train them.
The thing all of us love about Posavac Hound puppies the most is the way they live for us, the method they focus all they have on us, the fact that our lives become theirs. In the beginning, they study us to discover our body movement, our facial expressions and our language. Up until we teach them the English language, it’s all they have. If we say, “Need to go out?” one day, “Have to go potty?” the next day, and, “Hafta pee?” the 3rd day, if they DO determine what we desire, it is because we have gotten the leash and approached the door with a delighted face! If you wish to accelerate his training by three-fold, teach him YOUR language. Select a command for EACH action and stay with it. Teach all in your family to utilize the exact same words and commands, and your Posavac Hound puppy will impress you at just how much quicker he catches on.
A young Posavac Hound puppy’s metabolic process is racing along faster than we think.
The younger your Posavac Hound is, the more quickly he is growing, the more food and water he requires to fuel his metabolic process, and the more frequently he has to go potty. Do not penalize your puppy when he makes a house-breaking mistake. These are YOUR fault. The age of your Posavac Hound in weeks and his size determine how typically he should head out. One time each hour is not too much for a big 6-week old puppy, especially if it is summer. Posavac Hounds love the interesting smells outdoors, so there is no reason to not have him housebroken by 7-8 weeks of age. Right after a nap, after he consumes and after grooming are the essential times, and he will signal you. If he is gladly chewing a toy and gets up unexpectedly with his nose to the flooring, act quickly! And whenever he goes potty outside, praise him to high paradise! “What a good PUP!”, “GOOD go potty!” and so on. Posavac Hounds love our pleased faces, and they will do anything to get it.
Posavac Hounds live for our expressions and body language.
Because of this, the worst punishment you ever need to give your Posavac Hound is a grimace and to turn away from him. You can see his tail fall down and his face get so unhappy. He will learn from the lesson, I guarantee it. However his attention span is only 3-5 minutes, so do not spurn him any longer. Love him up and offer him your pleased face once again. Physical penalty is never essential. Utilize constant commands and loving appreciation and he will know what you want of him prior to you understand. He will end up being a master of your body movement and expressions in no time at all.
Naturally there are numerous aspects of training your Posavac Hound puppy well. Loving generosity works just as well for Posavac Hound pups as it does with children, developing a pleased, well-adjusted and obedient dog for life. These three important ideas, used consistently with self-confidence, will start him well on his way.
