There are without a doubt as many ways to rear a Bolognese puppy as there are to caring for a kid. In reality, one method per family at least! However most of us agree that when it comes to kids, certain things are universal and undeniable. Here are three things that a lot of people simply do not remember when it concerns raising their Bologneses, nevertheless. I can’t count how many times have we heard, “My Bolognese simply won’t listen to me”, or “He just won’t act!”
Bologneses do not understand English up until we teach them.
The main thing all of us like about Bolognese puppies the most is the fact that they live for us, the fact that they focus all they have on us, the method our lives end up being theirs. In the beginning, they study us to discover our body movement, our expressions and our language. Till we teach them the English language, it’s all they have. If we state, “Need to go out?” one day, “Have to go potty?” the next day, and, “Hafta pee?” the 3rd day, if they DO determine what we desire, it is due to the fact that we have actually gotten the leash and moved toward the door with a pleased face! If you wish to accelerate his training by three-fold, teach him YOUR language. Pick a command for EACH action and stay with it. Teach all in your family to use the same words and commands, and your Bolognese puppy will amaze you at just how much faster he figures it out.
A young Bolognese puppy’s metabolic process is racing along faster than we think.
The younger your Bolognese is, the faster he is growing, the more food and water he needs to sustain his metabolism, and the more frequently he has to go potty. Do not penalize your puppy when he makes a house-breaking mistake. These are YOUR fault. The age of your Bolognese in weeks and his size establish how frequently he should go out. Once per hour is not too much for a big 6-week old puppy, specifically if it is summer season. Bologneses love the exciting smells outdoors, so there is no reason to not have him housebroken by 7-8 weeks old. Right after a nap, after he eats and after grooming are the essential times, and he will signal you. If he is happily chewing a toy and gets up unexpectedly with his nose to the flooring, act rapidly! And every time he goes potty outside, praise him to high paradise! “What a great PUP!”, “EXCELLENT go potty!” and so forth. Bologneses love our delighted faces, and they will do anything to get it.
Bologneses live for our facial expressions and body movement.
Because of this, the worst penalty you ever need to provide your Bolognese is a frown and to turn away from him. You can see his tail fall down and his face get so unhappy. He will learn the lesson, I guarantee it. But his attention period is just 3-5 minutes, so do not deride him any further. Love him up and offer him your pleased face once again. Physical punishment is never ever required. Work with consistent commands and caring praise and he will know what you want of him before you understand. He will become a master of your body movement and facial expressions in no time at all.
Naturally there are numerous elements of training your Bolognese puppy well. Caring kindness works just as well for Bolognese puppies as it does with children, creating a pleased, well-adjusted and obedient dog for life. These three crucial suggestions, used consistently with self-confidence, will start him well on his way.
