All of us long for training the perfect Czechoslovak Wolfdog, a pup that is a CGC or canine good citizen and is very well mannered and trustworthy at all times. Well dreams do come true if the instruction is done with kindness and focus. Never forget pups learn from the first day and really need to be shown what is right, what is not, and effective interpersonal skills.
Puppies are like young children, they are in need of continuous direction and instruction. Training a pup does not have to be a nightmare, all you need to think about are a few basic guidelines:

- Till your pup is trained, you must keep an eye on her at all times. Once you can not then you have to cage her. Design a routine for the pup, this will enable her to settle easily. The routine should include things like hourly bathroom visits, feeding times, sleep periods, strolls, play time, education, etc. A pup that has a full day has no time at all to be unoccupied or get into mischief.
- Teach the pup to appreciate you. Czechoslovak Wolfdogs stay in packs and instinctively follow a leader. When you establish your leadership in no uncertain terms then instructing will come easy because the pup will follow orders at all times and not defy your power.
- Utilize only encouraging training tactics. Don’t shout at, strike, or abuse your Czechoslovak Wolfdog. It’s not only unkind but may trigger behavioral challenges. Using electrical shocks, prong collars, sprays, etc could quite possibly harm the animal.
- Show the pup “nothing in this life is free.” This is a method of teaching that is frequently recognized as a valuable coaching method. If you execute this, your pup will learn that to experience something like affection, a stroll, or reward, he needs to behave well.
- Teach the meaning of “No,” from the first day. Do not advocate behaviors such as jumping, growling, tug-o-war, yapping, or running out of open gates and doorways. Commend courtesy and just ignore or walk away when there is bad behavior. The pup will certainly realize that if he misbehaves he will lose his companion/playmate.
- To fix a habit you will need to witness the Czechoslovak Wolfdog in the act and startle her by rattling a canister of stones. - Make sure to call/use his name positively. The doggy should identify his name with happy times like hugs, petting, strolls, treats, and such. If this takes place he will respond happily the instant you call his name.
- Establish a training routine that is short and sweet, about ten minutes 3 times a day. Prolonged recurring sessions can be boring and the Czechoslovak Wolfdog is going to lose interest in the learning session. Make training entertaining and use trick training sessions to teach commands like sit, down, come and so forth.
- Bond with the Czechoslovak Wolfdog and both of you will appreciate your lessons. The pup needs to wait to spending quality time with you and not keep away from you by breaking away or hiding. Be sure to socialize the doggie as soon as possible. Socialization is among the most important lessons. The Czechoslovak Wolfdog will need to figure out how to exist around various other animals, people, sounds, vehicles, and other activities. Therefore, carefully introduce the doggy when he is little to day-to-day tasks and noises.
