We all dream of training the perfect Kaikadi, a puppy that’s a CGC or canine good citizen and is very well behaved and trustworthy at all times. Well dreams really do come true when the teaching is done with care and commitment. Bear in mind pups learn from day one and need to be shown what is correct, what isn’t, and proper interpersonal skills.
Pups are like kids, they demand continuous supervision and training. Training a pup need not be a chore, all you want to take note of are a few simple principles:
Ten Tips For Training Your Kaikadi
- Up until your pup learns, you must keep an eye on her at all times. Once you are unable to then you must crate her. Put together a calendar for the pup, that will serve to help her to settle fast. The calendar has to include things like regular potty visits, feeding times, break periods, walks, play time, education, and so forth. A pup that has a hectic day has no time at all to become unoccupied and get into mischief.
- Teach the pup to heed you. Kaikadis stay in packs and naturally need a leader. When you establish your leadership in no uncertain terms then teaching will come easy because the pup will follow you at all times and not defy your authority.
- Utilize exclusively constructive training techniques. Never scream at, smack, or abuse your Kaikadi. It’s not only unkind but can easily create behavioral challenges. Using electric shocks, prong collars, sprays, and so forth might harm the animal.
- Show the pup “nothing in life is free.” This is a method of teaching that is commonly recognized as an useful coaching method. If you reinforce this, the pup will be taught that to experience something like love, a stroll, or snack, he has to behave well.
- Show the significance of “No,” from day one. Do not embrace behaviors such as leaping, growling, tug-o-war, howling, or running out of open gates and doors. Applaud courtesy and ignore or leave when there is bad conduct. The pup will realize that if he misbehaves he will lose his companion/playmate.
- To fix a behavior you should witness the Kaikadi in the process and surprise him by shaking a canister of marbles. Once you have done this help him fix his behavior and promptly offer him a snack and appreciation. Kaikadis do not call to mind what happened previously so scolding him after an event is useless.
- Be certain to call/use his name positively. Do not ever say “Bad TOM,” or “No Tom,” this will create mental confusion and the Kaikadi will believe that if you call his name then it is something bad. The doggie should connect his name with pleasant events like hugs, petting, strolls, food, and such. If this transpires he will respond willingly whenever you call his name.
- Create a teaching regimen that is short and sweet, about 10 minutes thrice a day. Lengthy recurring lessons can be boring and the Kaikadi is going to lose interest in the learning session. Help make lessons exciting and use trick training to explain commands like sit, down, come and more.
- Bond with the Kaikadi and both of you are going to get a kick out of your sessions. The pup must look forward to spending quality time with you and not avoid you by running away or taking cover. Make certain to socialize the puppy dog as soon as possible. Socialization is among the most crucial lessons. The Kaikadi should master how to coexist with other animals, people, sounds, vehicles, and other activities. So, carefully introduce the puppy when he is small to ordinary tasks and sounds. Take him to the market/ playground, introduce him to kids and other pets, and make him unfrightened of the vacuum cleaner and garden hose.
- Master all about crate training, leash walking, house breaking, along with food training. These are basic lessons that every Kaikadi puppy should understand. Learn about all the idiosyncrasies in addition to peculiarities of the breed. This will give you important insights on how to effectively instruct the pup.
As a Kaikadi parent you have lots of options. You may decide to train the Kaikadi yourself or enlist at a skilled professional training school. Training a Kaikadi has many steps: preschool, behavior training, dog sports, showing and conformation, as well as other facets like therapy dogs, hearing dogs, and more. What degree you decide to coach depends on you in addition to the learning abilities of your Kaikadi. As you are aware, various dogs, like humans, possess varied talents. Choose wisely and both you and your Kaikadi pup will have fun times together.
