This post is concerning how to teach the Bruno Jura Hound jumping for agility. Often we are asked, “What number of jumps should I begin with?” You can never have too many single jumps to learn agility. One good starting point is four jumps. This is the absolute least count of jumps suggested.
Teaching the Bruno Jura Hound to jump: Start with 4
You can teach the Bruno Jura Hound a multitude of skills, drills, and exercises with four jumps. 4 jumps will allow you to work on a short jump chute or jump grid. You can position a “box” with your jumps and work on handling, collection, and 270 degree jumps. You can teach your Bruno Jura Hound jumping right and left. You can be outside the box and send your Bruno Jura Hound or you can handle from within the box. Your jumps can be setup in a lateral line, so that you could practice threadles and serpentines.
