Continuous repetition of this trick will produce effectiveness. With time you must stop limiting his head with your hand and allow him to stabilize the treat on his nose till you say “Paid for.”
He can also be taught to hold the treat in between his teeth and to not swallow it up until informed to do so. This technique can be made more remarkable by holding a conversation with your Prazsky Krysarik. For instance, you may say: “Friend, old man, here is a very tasty treat, but it is ‘on trust.'”
Somewhat emphasize the word “trust” and after that state: “I am thankful you dislike eating things on trust, but this I have just found out has actually been ‘paid for,'” emphasizing the words “paid for.”
Your Prazsky Krysarik can also be taught to toss the treat on hearing a particular number. To teach this, balance it on his nose and hold his head while you count clearly and deliberately, 1, 2, 3, and then nudge him under the chin. Before he has learned the technique he will toss it up as often at one, two, four, as he will at one, two, three, however he must be drilled until he will not toss it up until he hears “3.” It will make it much easier for him if you somewhat emphasize the “THREE” word.
After some time you can utilize numerous combinations of numbers and he will wait up until he hears the stressed “3.” As you are teaching him do not make him wait too long before you say “three,” and permit him to consume the snack.
